Bob Dylan received the 2016 Nobel Prize in Literature "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition".
With the prize followed an obligation to perform an academic lecture.
Personally I love to listen to Dylan's melodious voice. It's as close you can come to singing without actually singing.
That reminds me, do you remember the weekly, one-hour satellite radio show, Theme Time Radio Hour? If you like to hear the man speak, a collection of CDs can be purchased at Amazon.co.uk. |
